Maine Oxy Updates on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Update: May 8, 2020

To update earlier communications regarding Maine Oxy’s Saturday closures, we have decided to remain closed on Saturdays until further notice, due to COVID-19. This closure only affects Saturday service. When this changes, we will keep you posted.

UPDATE: April 3, 2020

Dear Valued Customer,

This is an update to the previous message we shared with you on March 18, regarding Maine Oxy’s Saturday closures. Initially, we decided to close all our retail stores on Saturdays only, for three weeks. Today, we have decided to extend that timeframe through May 2. This closure only effects Saturday service. All Maine Oxy locations plan to resume normal Saturday service on May 9th.

The well-being of Maine Oxy’s employees and customers continues to be our top priority. This decision was made to not only limit the spread of COVID19, but to also provide our hard-working team more time to spend with their loved ones and get some much-needed rest.

All Maine Oxy retail locations across New England, as well our headquarters and production facilities in Auburn, Maine, remain open and our inventory and supply chains remain solid.

We will continue to provide additional information as warranted and post any significant updates on our website and social media. Thank you for your continued support and please stay safe.

Sincerely,

Dan Guerin
President and CEO

UPDATE: March 20, 2020
Dear Valued Customer,

During these unprecendented times, scammers are using the COVID-19 virus to take advantage of individuals, many of whom may be more vulnerable than usual right now. While we’ve had no reports of scams related specificially to Maine Oxy, we are hearing about email phishing scams involving businesses similar to ours in other regions of the country.

Scammers often use familiar company names and email addresses or pretend to be someone you know. The recipients of these emails are being directed to access a spoof website and enter their details, such as user ID and passwords used in banking transactions. Scammers are also using phishing emails to gain access to your computer or network. If you click on a link, they can install ransomware or other programs that can lock you out of your data.

Maine Oxy will never send an email asking for sensitive information. If we were to make financial changes that affected our customers, our Chief Financial Officer would inform you with a letter sent through the United States Postal Service, on official Maine Oxy letterhead and envelope. Maine Oxy will also never direct you to click a link that isn’t our website or one of our social media platforms.

If you should receive any email requesting sensitive information, please feel free to reach out at any time to request verification. In fact, we urge you to inquire! Safety is our top priority at Maine Oxy and we take great strides to keep your personal information safe and secure. You can contact us by phone or through the “Contact Us” button on our website.

Thank you and best wishes from the Maine Oxy Team.

Sincerely,

Dan Guerin
President and CEO
